Students in pre-school through grade 5 learned from a variety of different guests how to be safe and healthier.  We had a diverse group of trainers:

The Hartford Fire Department and EMTs, Trooper Slusser and his K9 – Drager, The Hartford Recreation Department, Karen Ganey for teaching about cooking and eating healthy foods, Watershed on Wheels, Upper Valley Aquatics Center, Cathy Hazlett on anti-tobacco and sugary drinks, Elvis Lowe on the benefits of physical exercise, nurse interns on the necessity of drinking ample water, our nurses who reminded students about how to thoroughly wash hands, Ms. McNally on mindful thinking practices, Dr. Jones on eye care and eye health, and Ashley Hutton on the damaging effects of marijuana on a growing brain and body(grades 3-5).

I want to extend my sincere appreciation for the wonderful learning opportunities that these trainers provided our students.
