On Friday May 22 the entire WRS community gathered for a brief, but meaningful ceremony.  We saluted the flag, and sang the Star Spangled Banner and You're a Grand Old Flag.  Ms. Powers spoke about what Memorial Day is and why all of us didn't have to attend school on Monday. We were joined by Charlie Patch, Dan Hilliard, Bob Amel and Dave Briggs.  Each of these fine men is a veteran and explained what branch of the military they served in and when.  Our service concluded with Mr. Briggs playing Taps on his bugle.   It was a very moving ending.
