Dear W.R.S. families,

         While there are still weeks of summer ahead I want to inform you of important information and changes. The school start time has changed!  The school bell will ring at 8:00 a.m. and students will be considered tardy if they arrive after 8:00 a.m.  Our dismissal is between 2:50 -3:00 p.m. These start/end times will align with the Ottauquechee School and the Dothan Brook School schedules.  Each school will have two dedicated buses per school, which will greatly reduce the span of time for morning drop off and dismissal time. We expect our last bus to depart at about 3:00 p.m.  Our buses will no longer transport middle and high school students.

         Breakfast will be served between 7:45 – 8:00 a.m.  This year we will offer “Breakfast After the Bell” which means students will get a small bagged breakfast that can be eaten during morning snack time.  We will continue to offer fresh fruits and vegetables for snack September – May.

         Lastly, there has been staffing changes in grade 3.  Mrs. Chysna and her family relocated out of state. We have hired Mrs. Cheryl Willies to replace Mrs. Chysna.  Mrs. Willies is an experienced teacher, previously teaching in Florida.. Ms. Linda Trombley will be moving from kindergarten to the other third grade class.  Last spring be learned that Ms. Ehret, grade 1 is taking time to be with her family and she won’t be returning to W.R.S. Mrs. Laura Maggiolo will move from grade 3 to grade 1 this school year.

         You will receive updates via email as the first day of school gets closer.  Bus routes will be published on the Hartford School District website:  www.hsdvt.com and www.wrsvt.com.  I’m looking forward to seeing all of you on August 27th!
