White River School officially begins class at 8:15 AM and we dismiss at 2:45.  Please do not drop your child off before 7:45 AM as the staff is not on duty until then.  Please make sure your child is here before the bell rings at 8:15.  The bus loop is an extremely busy area in the morning and the afternoon.  In order to maintain safety for all of our students please adhere to the following:

Do not park in the bus loop – no exceptions.  This is also the fire lane.

In the morning you can park at Stern’s Produce or in the municipal lot between the Citizen’s Bank and the school grounds.  In the afternoon only the municipal lot is available.

If you are dropping your child off, please don’t get out of the car and make sure the child exits the car on the passenger’s side closest to the sidewalk.

Do not pass buses or cars on the left, inside loop.  Passing a parked bus is illegal and passing a car dropping off a child is unsafe.

Please don’t use your cell phone in the bus loop.

When you are taking your child off the playground at the end of the day, please check in with me before leaving the playground.  If you are sending another adult to collect your child, I will not release the child until I confirm that you have given written permission or notified the office staff.  If I don’t know the adult I will ask for photo identification.  I will take every precaution to ensure your child is released with the appropriate adult.  Thank you very much in advance for assisting us with these procedures so that we can provide the utmost safety for all of our students.
