Our school community celebrated Thanksgiving together by enjoying a wonderful luncheon served by many, many volunteers and staff members. The meal was possible because everybody in our school community contributed: pre-school families sent in applesauce, kindergarten families donated ingredients to make stuffing, first graders washed and prepared the squash grown and donated by Mrs. Langley’s family, second grade families donated ingredients for corn bread and second graders prepared it, grade three wrote thank you notes, grade four families donated potatoes and grade 5 wrote invitations.
We had many, many parents and community members including Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Julia Haynes help with setting up tables, preparing the food and serving it! A special thank you goes to Ms. Cerasoli for cooking the squash, stuffing and gravy as well as Katie Blood’s family for loaning us tables and chairs! It was yet another moving and lovely event that was all made possible because we all worked together to make it happen.
