The State of Vermont awarded WRS a grant that will be utilized to provide fresh fruits or vegetables for a snack for all students in our school at no cost to them.  Last Friday all students were served a plum.  Today, students were served a Macintosh apple.  I am working with Cafe’ Services and our Director of Finance, Mr. Vezina to determine what the budget is and how often we’ll be able to serve the snack.  (By this I mean daily or just a few days a week.)  I will update you as the information becomes available.  However, I wanted you to understand where the fruit is coming from.
