WRS Kids Wow Audience with Winter Concert!

Our fabulous WRS kids put on another great show last night!  Our students were incredibly enthusiastic about this performance and they were really proud to show our audience all what they’ve learned in music class!  I estimate that we had about 550 audience members, about 175 students and about 25 staff members.  We had a very full house!  As I stood at the door greeting our audience members, I saw many faces that I didn’t recognize.  I think we had lots of Grandmas and Grandpas, neighbors, family and friends who showed up to support our WRS kids!  It was wonderful to see so many faces in the audience!

Ms. Fraser, our band teacher does an amazing job of teaching students who are brand new to band to perform songs in only about two months!  Our 5th grade students were so proud to “show what they know” last night!  I’m very proud of them for their hard work and dedication to learning to play an instrument.  Much like learning to read, learning to play an instrument requires practice, practice and more practice!

Mrs. Wadleigh, our choral music teacher brings such joy and enthusiasm to the music classroom!  Our students respond to her enthusiasm and match it!  It was pure pleasure to watch our students demonstrate their talent through song and dance last night!  Seeing our students light up at “show time” is joyous!  Their enthusiasm is contagious and really sets a lovely tone for the holiday season.  Thank you all once again for coming out to support our students!
