The School Board meeting was held at WRS last Wednesday evening.  The meeting began with the Hartford Board of School Directors recognizing the efforts of the White River School staff for their outstanding efforts over a long period of time and their dedication to the White River School community.  The Board of Directors and Superintendent DeBalsi acknowledged the excellent teaching and overall care of our students that helped WRS to meet Adequate Yearly Progress in 2013.

Only 16 VT schools that were identified in 2012 met AYP in 2013.  Only about 25% of all VT schools met AYP in 2013.  White River School was among them!  It is of course our third – fifth grade students who took the test by which AYP is determined.  As I’ve stated in previous newsletters, I couldn’t be more proud of our students for their dedication to learning that makes them successful students!
